 A monthly a cappella musical evening
 

A cappella groups of 4 to 12 singers are invited to sing in a friendly, casual setting.  Stage, microphones provided.   All styles of music

welcome, as long as it's a cappella!    Contact  Glenn at javapella@aol.com  to sign up your group
 
The public is invited to come enjoy the music.  Coffee, wine  and light refreshments are available for purchase.  Admission:  Free

 

Javapella is held on the 2nd Sunday of each month, unless the date falls on a holiday.  (Mark your calendars for future dates:   June 8, July 13, August 10, September 14, October 12, November 9, December 14)

Vocal Magic competed in this year's Los Angeles Regional Harmony Sweepstakes  with some of the best acappella groups around!

Congratulations to SoundStage, 1st place winners who will go on to the National competition on May 3 in the Bay area.  Renaissance took 2nd, and Down for the Count was 3rd and also best arrangement with "Train song".

Also competing was Collectively Kenny, Expedia, and Swing Shift.  Each group had its own special style, and the variety was amazing!

The Harmony Sweepstakes A Cappella Festival is the premier American showcase for vocal harmony music.  The annual national competition draws from hundreds of vocal groups from around the country with regional competitions in eight cities. The winning group from each festival is flown to perform in front of celebrity judges and a sold out house of enthusiastic a cappella fans at the National Finals.
